Saturday Night at the Auld Dubliner in Long Beach-Happy Birthday, April!

The Dubliner is this great Irish Pub in Long Beach, although they have locations throughout Southern California and Arizona. During the day, they serve good food and its a great spot to grab a quick pint. I have been here on many occasions, but the times that are the best are on Saturday nights. Great bartenders, good looking guys, upbeat Irish music to dance to and a great crowd.

It's my good friend, April's birthday and since we had so much fun on my birthday at the Dub, she wanted to celebrate there too. Janene comes over to my house early. I swear, we didn't plan to wear almost the same thing, but we did. Turned out kind of cute though. She had bought a sexy almost backless shirt when we were last in Vegas, and I bought a similar one here at a local boutique.

We were so ready for some fun tonight. The last time I went big was St. Paddys day, and that was big, so it was just about time to have another wild night. I always enjoy going out with Janene and April, and April is getting some payback this year after taking pictures of me on my birthday drinking a stupid blow job shot she ordered for me. Revenge is a bitch, girl! So I have some plans to get April loaded then laid by her boyfriend. (What a good friend!) The Dub is the perfect place for my plan anyways. Janene and I are both single, and there is a really cute bartender there, that takes good care of us, and there are always a handful of delicious guys to meet and dance with. We are a little dissapointed to find out ahead of time that the band that we LOVE, The Warsaw Poland Brothers, isn't playing tonight. Damn! Missed them by one week! But regardless, they usually have good bands that play a mix of traditional Irish, jigs, U2 covers and bar classics.

Janene comes over and we get ready at the house and decide to leave early. We take the 5 min. cab ride to The Pike, an area in Downtown Long Beach that has some newer restaurants and bars. The band isn't playing yet, since it is still early, so we get a Stella and chill out. Most of the seats are taken, but who wants to sit anyways? We check out the crowd and wait for some friends.

April and Jonathan, her man, show up in about a 1/2 hour. Jonathan has been fighting a cold all week, and really isn't in the mood, but is here for her birthday. April looks real cute in a blue shirt she bought today for her birthday.

We belly up to the bar and argue about what to order. Well, the perfect start to a night out at the Dub is an Irish Car Bomb of course! Delicious!

The band warms up and our night continues. Since its her birthday, our bartender takes good care of us, and comps us shots all night. Sweet! When the band really gets going April is getting a little tipsy at this point and wants to dance. I ask the band to play a song we can dance to and they do not dissapoint. Later, I drag April to the bar and make her take a blow job shot. Oh, the pictures are awesome, but I know she would kill me if I posted them, so I won't. You will just have to settle for drunk birthday girl pictures. We dance and drink, and leave a little earlier than normal, but still a fun night. No cute guys this time, Janene! Damn! But we do meet some nice ones that have fun taking some pics of us and hang out at our table. April leaves early with Jonathan and is ready to pass out. We cab it home shortly after and crash. Its a fun night, and pictures help me remember.
