The day after

I didn't get the chance to update yesterday - the day started slowly, but I ended up being very busy.
Yesterday (Sat. March 3) was Sydney Mardi Gras. The parade started at 7:45 pm, but people began gathering for the parade at 3:00 in the afternoon! I found a spot about half way through the parade route to watch from. People were selling milk crates to stand on so I bought one so I could see over the crowd. I ended up sharing it with a guy named Clint. I think there were 3 of us on 2 milk crates!
The parade was great and I can't believe how many people showed up to watch. Quite a bit of the city was blocked off and people were everywhere.
Since the parade was at night and it was so crowded, I really didn't get many good pictures of the parade.
I attended the Mardi Gras party after the parade. The was from 10:00pm until 10:00 am. I rolled in about 6:00 am! I'm still tired and I've only been up and about for about 2 hours!
Boy George was the DJ at one of the dance areas of the party. The party was held at the former Fox Studios and was spread over the entire complex. It was a lot of fun, but I think I'm getting too old to be up all night like that!
Today is my last day in Sydney. I am off to Bali tomorrow. I will probably go out for 1 or 2 drinks later and then call it a night.
