Touring the countryside

After breakfast, Tina, Demeter and I took a car tour of this area. The girls had hired this guy in advance and it was very nice. We got to see 2 Water Palaces (built by the same King), some temples and what the locals call the "White Sand Beach". This beach was very secluded and hard to get to and the sand was not really white... ?
Anyway, the girls have since headed back to Sydney and I am truly on my own. Tomorrow evening I begin a very LONG journey to Cairo! Before then, more Mie Guerong (a meal with fried noodles - I think I spelled it right) and I am hoping to catch the monkeys stealing things from my porch!
The Balinese people are so nice - everyone is friendly and they love to talk to you. They may not know English, but they all know "Hello! How are you?". It's very nice. I don't believe I have ever met a happier bunch of people. Bali is incredibly affordable, as well. The U.S. Dollar goes a long way here. Perhaps a good place to retire to?
