Ok we're here. Everything is settled. Took FOREVER.
I've gotten a feel for the area. It's very... rural. Coming from Las Vegas, it's quite a change.
EVerything is so... just different. Visiting a new country, and moving to a new country are two very different things.
Everyone said "Oh, wow, England!!! How exciting!"
Well, no, not exactly. Having to buy adaptors for everything is not exciting. Using transformers for your American appliances isn't exciting. Only being able to buy German appliances from the military base, because buying British ones off base is way too expensive is not exciting. Having to use two currencies is not exciting. Having to do double the amount of laundry because your washer is half the size really isn't exciting.
On the plus side, Tesco, the supermarket near my house, has interesting new food to explore. Roasted chicken flavored potato chips!!! They are so good!
