Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel

The home island of my wife, Crete is magical to me in many ways. Let me begin by stating that her family drinks to excess, smokes, and lives hard, but lives to be 92 years of age on average...no one expires due to stroke or other stress related maladies. The magic is truly the people, the culture, the island itself and its history. Although there are less than 45 people still living in the village, what they have, they grow, and what they grow they share. Wonderful.

God Sent!
This 5 star hotel is costly, but after a long flight there is nothing more inviting than what can only be described as a world class hotel, no matter its location.

Brilliant staff, service, and rooms that are pleasing to all 5 senses.

If I had more than 2 thumbs, I would raise them. As it is, 2 thumbs up!
