Left VA Beach on Saturday 23 Feb. in the afternoon.  Only intended to make it to Lexington KY.  The 4 cylinder Jeep was loaded with nearly 1000 lbs.  Tracking thru the snow and the wind and the night was not easy, but it was invigorating.  After 14 hours of driving, exhaustion set in so stopping in Booneville KY was imminent.  After a good meal and a good nights rest drove another full day and headed on further into Columbia MO.  Snow and cold get very tiring on the body for long driving.     The worst part of the driving was yet to come!   Indiana, Illinois, MO weren't bad.  Kansas was upcoming.  I don't care what all of you that are from Kansas say, Kansas is a two days drive and the worst part of the drive!!!    Needless to say, I do not like driving thru Kansas!

The last day was also long.  After finally making it into CO, Parker CO is the place to rest for a few days.   Next time,  a companion is needed for driving during this time of the year.  Over 1700 miles of driving, a long rest is needed!!!  Till next time!!!

Thanks to all the folks that work at Holiday Inn in Booneville KY, Columbia MO, Hays, KS and Parker, CO; I had a clean quiet room and a good nights rest!
