Hong Kong
October 10, 2004
I slept all the way from Taipei to Hong Kong. In fact, the flight attendant had to wake me up prior to landing to be sure I was buckled in properly!
I found out that my luggage had not made it to Hong Kong with me. What a surprise! Ha ha. Abby's luggage did not make it either. I bade her farewell, and then walked over to the Regal Hotel to get a room for the night. It was so easy, as it was connected by a walkway to the Hong Kong airport. I got checked into a real room with a real bed and a real shower. It was delightful! I slept like a baby.

Airport Convenience
The Regal Airport Hotel in Hong Kong has to be one of the most convenient airports ever for business travel. It is a two minute walk from the Hong Kong Airport -- in a covered walkway. It makes an overnight stay a breeze. And getting to your gate the next morning could not be easier.
The hotel is very modern and very clean. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
My room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate, with a great shower -- two things that I definitely look for in a hotel. The room was quite dark, and extremely quiet -- particularly given the proximity to the airport!
I'd definitely recommend the Regal for overnight stays at the airport and will do so again.
