I get this question a lot "So, you don't have kids. What DO you do on your snow days?" A "snow day" is when the weather is so bad they can't get school busses through and the district gets a day off (that we'll need to make up later, usually). Here's what I do on a snow day.

I actually did some work before heading home.

From Tiffin, I drove south on Route 100, picked up 19, then Holmes Center Road to Wynford, my school.  The school was warm, cozy, and pretty much deserted except for the few dedicated employees who saw this as an opportunity to get some things done (until I pestered them - sorry Jeanne.)  I graded papers, made lesson plans that will HOPEFULLY be carried out tomorrow, and played with Scooter, the class pet (and cleaned his cage, it was pretty gross.)  While grading and sorting through the kid's work, I realized that I haven't actually taught for over a week.  Yipe.  I wasn't really expecting a week-long winter break.  We have spring break coming up in a couple weeks in which I'm traveling NOWHERE at all.  Maybe I'll make up a couple road trips and blog my days.  Hhmmm... I do have a friend who lives in Cleveland...
