Let's go on holiday to the Maldives with Mum and Dad. Ooh, I feel like a spare part!
That's not to say I didn't love the Maldives, and One&Only Kanahura when we went. It's just it's so couple-y and for a single fish it was a bit depressing! Mind you, four months later I was with Mark and we came back to the Maldives for our honeymoon, to One&Only Reethi Rah.
So, Mum and Dad were going on holiday for their 30th Wedding Anniversary and because I was just finishing my degree at St Andrews they asked if I'd like to fly Business Class with Emirates to the Maldives and Dubai with the. Hmm, let me think about that...
We had a truly fantastic time. I did some of the best dives, including a magnificent drift dive with lots and lots of sharks. I went water-skiing - OK I nearly drowned but never mind! And I ate some of the best food I've ever tasted.
But I was really just wishing Mark was with me...I'm such a sap!
