Grey - Langre

When I opened the tent this morning, it was raining again. And it wouldn’t stop till 21.00h. My tyre was almost flat, so I repaired it. After this we rode back to the fork, it was a bit of a disappointment to cycle the same route as yesterday. When we almost arrived at the fork some other bikers stood on the other side of the road. It was a Dutch family and they cycled the same route we did. They were lost and we decided to cycle together the rest of the day.

The two kids of the family were our age, which was very nice.

When we entered Langre we stopped at McDonald’s and waited for everybody. Bas and I rode on our own speed and we rode in front of Hans, Johan and Sonja. Angelique was already at McDonald’s. We ordered some hot food and dropped a lot of water on the floor. After we left; a big pool was on the floor and the McDonald people weren’t very happy with this.

We looked for a hotel, but all the hotels were filled with people who came back by car from the south of France. It was a disappointment that we had to stay on a camping site this night again. But when we arrived a big surprise was waiting for us, the camping site had a new sanitaria building since a little time. We dropped all our luggage inside and took a very long and hot shower.

Because we hadn’t eaten much that day (it was too cold to eat) we were hungry as hell. We ate together at a pizzeria and we enjoyed it very much.
