Indianapolis
In the morning we've left Itasca, IL, to start our road trip.
Finnaly!
We drove to the east, so I could see the skyline of Chicago.
It was a bit foggy, but it was okay.
Using route 41 we drove down south.
At first lots of trafficlights, but then it became quiet. Less houses, more scenery.
The scenery was quite empty. Here and there a few houses/farms.
We've had lunch at a town called Kentland, or is it more a village...
It's very cute. Almost like a "small town USA".
Then we went onward to Indianapolis, Indiana.
In Indianapolis we've made a short stop at the Hard Rock Café where my mother bought one of their famous guitar pins.
While there we've seen the pretty Meridian street and the monument at the square.
From there we left to go to a campsite, but the facilities were not open yet, so we've ended up at the Extended Home Stay, Indianapolis, next to the airport.
NOT staying in the camper...
On March 8th I've arrived safe and sound at Chicago O'Hare Airport.
The flight was pretty good, hardly any turbulence and the seat I've had was great! Meters of leg space!
After my arrival at the airport I was picked up by a friend from the internet car forum I belong to.
Although I've never met her, we've had a great time. She was so nice to shout me lunch at a very cute looking diner (forgot the name of it already...)
After lunch she brought me to my parents who we staying at the Holiday Inn Itasca.
After being settled in we went to the Woodfield Mall. That's the second largest shopping mall in America.
Our luck, there was a meet and greet so it seems with wrestlers.....
At this mall I've bought my first Starbucks cappuccino mmmmm and later on I've bought a new pair of shoes. Pretty black ones from Skechers!!! The 2nd pair was 20% off, so my mom got a nice pair as well.
More news to come as soon as I have the possibility!
