Leaving the beach and back to the city

Since the night before had been an early one, we got up before 7am this morning! That's crazy talk for a vacation. It was actually good though since we walked on the beach and got some more pictures with the sun shining. It was a beautiful day! We walked the opposite way up the beach that we had normally been going. We wanted to check it out and see how things were at the other end of the beach. There were more rocks at this end and not very many people. I did brave it in the water (not very deep though) to get my picture taken by a rock. The undercurrent was crazy - I thought I was going to get swept out.
At the end of the beach there were a bunch of rocks which I tried to get pictures of the waves crashing into them. There were a few that turned out.
Back at the hotel, I was able to lay on the beach for an hour and write in my journal about things. Atiba wanted to go to the pool to drink. I always think....I can go to any kind of pool back in Las Vegas but I can't always go to the beach. I would take the beach over a pool anyday! After an hour, it was time to go back to the Karahe Hotel and pack up since we were being picked up by the interbus at 1pm. Atiba saw our visitor on the patio first.
We got packed up, left our bags at the front and then went back to Marlin's for some lunch. Plus, I wanted to buy some souvenirs from the vendors. It was surreal that I was here at the beach and unfortunate that we were now leaving. The food was good and I was happy with my souvenirs. Now, for the 5 HOUR bus ride back to San Jose! It was interbus - so another mini-van. This time there were 4 other people riding with us so it was a little cramped. It rained the entire time and that made the winding roads a little nerve racking.
That night, we went across the street to a restaurant for dinner. For some reason I was soooo tired and could hardly make it through the meal. After that we went back to the room to watch a movie on HBO. This truly was a vacation I don't even get HBO in the states =)
