Carving the chocolate
If you love chocolate, this is the festival you have to go to. It is called Choco-Laté and I visited it in 2007. There were 2 locations where you can taste chocolate. You will get some free samples of chocolate and sometimes you have to pay for it. The smell was wonderful. Chocolate everywhere. I saw a lot of chocolate art. I bought a bottle of Chocolade Huisjenever made by Stokerij Wissels from Hasselt. It tasts like chocolate milkshake with alcohol. It is a pitty that you can only buy it in Belgium. They don't export it to the Netherlands. I bought a combi-ticket which gave me entrance to the 2 locations described above, but also I believe a discount on the entrance to the chocolate museum and you could watch the movie Chocolate with Jonny Depp. But of course as a Chocolate Lover (see group) I already had seen the movie. For more information visit the website: http://www.choco-late.be
. A lot of restaurants in Brugge
have a special chocolate menu during this festival.
