He was nice enough to smile for the pic
On the way up to Ubud from Kuta, our driver suggested this detour.  I'm not the kind of guy who would seek out a reptile park, but it was a good excuse to stretch our legs from the ride.  They built this park in 1997, about a year after the bird park across the street. It takes about 45 minutes to stroll through.  It seems like it was just under $9 US to enter.

The park itself was beautiful.  They had dense foliage all along the paths between exhibits.  The main draw for me was the iguanas and the 1.5 meter long Komodo dragon.  It would have been cool to be there for the feeding time (5-6pm).

There was a cool crocodile, who apparently thought I would tide him over as a nice snack until supper.  I wish I could have gotten the pic of him lifting himself out of the water to take a better look at my camera, but I was busy soiling myself.  They don't really have high walls surrounding the animals there.  They really should Dave-proof the place.  I guess they figured if I was dumb enough to lend my hand to a croc, well, I deserved it.   They claimed to have just under 200 species of wild life there which I don't doubt.  Everything you would expect to find in a reptile park.
