The Summary
In the summer of 2007 I had the opportunity to visit the capital city of Kampala in Uganda, Africa. I'd just graduated from college a couple of months earlier when my sister, who'd been living in Uganda a year and a half, asked if I'd like to live with her in Kampala and work for an NGO to help promote AIDS and Malaria Awareness. I'd never been out of the States. I'd lived most of my 23 years in Mississippi. I had just moved back home and was living with my Mom. Sure, I told my sis.
