The best period to visit Tuscany is spring from may to the end of June cause of the warm temperature (between 25 and 30 degrees). It enables pleasant walks in the open-air, and make it possible to avoid long queues at the most important art museums.

Usually, summer in Tuscany is hot, especially in the valleys. The afa and humidity levels can cause hothouses.
I also recommend the period between the second half of September and the end of October, since as well as the mild climate (usually in October the temperatures do not fall below 20/25 degrees.
