OK, so this is not Manila, great way to start!

OK, let's see. If going back in time, it was at the end of August 2006, I come back to Beijing after visit Mongolia, and I got an email from my friend Sue, that I meet few months ago in China, asking me if I would like to come with her to the Philippines. Her boyfriend had to go back to S.A to work and she was going there and was looking for some company. Telling the troth, I never did plane on going there, and I was meant to visit sichuan, but I was thinking to myself - why not, getting to see a new place, spending some time with my friend etc. So the Philippines it is!

Sure, I knew nothing about the place, have no idea where to go and what I want to see, but I was thinking that Sue will fix everything, she will know where to go. Or maybe not?

After 24 hours in Macau I had my first experience with low cost flights. Going with Tiger, I pay about 70$ for the return ticket, and could run into the plane and grab a sit! fun! I would say that about two hours later I arrived to Clark Airport and start my over land trip from the plane to the terminal, I was very happy that Clark is a small airport, I don't usually enjoy walking from the plain when I just arrived to a new place...but, I do start to like it. Sue was already there, waiting for me as she fly in few hours head of me...we meet not before I had some problems with the border control guy that didn't know about the fact that as an Israeli I need to get a visa for like 60 days, and he gave me one for 2 weeks, but never mind, I just ignored it and never did anything to get an extension...

So, Sue is there, and I asked her if she found about the bus to Manila, then she look at me, telling me we are not in Manila, and we are not going there! great way to start my trip! it's look like Clark is north to Manila and we were going north so there was no point of going to Manila only in order to make the way north ageing the next day.

So we found a jeepney and went to Angeles, a small town nearby where we spend the night, not before I volunteer to look around for the best deal I could find. I was so happy to find a nice bottle of wine in Macau that I had to break it in our room and make a big mass, sweet way to start!
