Today i managed my first sleep in for
over a week :)

In the afternoon I went on a sight
seeing bus and hopped off at the
Casemates boch,an old fortress carved
into rock and is really beautiful.
I started walking around it and noticed
a sign saying 2 euros to go down into
the catacombs. I paid my 2 euros and
went inside, before going down there is
another sign warning that people with
heart conditions or claustrophobia
should not go. The fort has many levels each filled with chambers and portholes
and amazing views of the water below. I also found a couple of canons that had
been left behind, these were very well lit and quite spacious so I started to
wonder what that sign was all about. I soon found out as the lower I’d go the
narrower the steps and the darker the place got, the walkways were getting
smaller too but still big enough for a large American.

I also started noticing pitch black
tiny holes in the sides of these
walkways but didn’t really take any
notice of them. Then when I took a
photo of one I saw that they were
actually passage ways, I started to
crawl through these passageways using
only the light of my camera and phone
to try and see where I was going as
they were pitch black. These passageways
had many corners which I went through
without a second thought, that was
however until I got stuck. That was
a truly freaky moment as I was all
by myself down this tube that I
couldn’t see my hands in front of my face. I had to crawl backwards down a
never ending tube while not being able to see where I had gone or are going
to and in the end I was very happy when I eventually found my way out

I really enjoyed that and took some good photos too.

When I got back on the bus I tried
Audrey again and was happy to find
my phone in working order. We said
we would meet in the town center
for dinner after my bus tour had
finished. The bus tour ended up
going past my hotel so I went in
there and got changed as my clothes
were covered in dirt from those
passageways. We ended up eating in
the café (think it was a café) that
Audrey will be working at for the 2
months. During dinner Audrey insisted I
go to the grund part of town (old part
of Luxembourg) and we went there after
dinner. On the way Audrey bumped into a friend of hers from Paris and
Juan who was with him and we all went to a nice pub on the water.

After drinks we went to a Greek restaurant because the guys hadn’t eaten
yet, I was still full from dinner but we all tried a Greek beer. It was
horrid stuff, after dinner I got dropped off back at the hotel because I
had a busy day planned for Monday and it was nearly midnight.
