Up the KL Tower - A view from the sky

Today we headed over to the Menara Kuala Lumpur, the 421 meter tall tower in the Golden Triangle. There is also a rotating restaurant up at the top, specializing in Malay food, and we had reservations to eat up there and see the sites from a birds eye view.
As far as the meal goes, it was pricey, and not that good. Far more "touristy" than what we normally do, and I regret that a bit. I would NOT do that again. That being said, the view was amazing, and I don't regret having the extra time that the meal afforded us to sit, visit, and really soak in the view from the different angles as we turned around to see the city. I leave it to you if you'd want to repeat the meal with it's pro's and con's, but do go up to walk around for the view. That part should not be missed.
We got to see our hotel from up there, the view of the city, and of course the KL Twin Towers. There were good markers to help identify what you were looking at, and we found that really valuable and helpful.
You could see all the way to Batu Caves from up there, which was neat to see. They are about 13 kilometers out from KL, and are a really sacred place for the Hindu population of the country. While we didn't get a chance to go out to the caves, I was glad that we at least got this view of them. The next time I go back though, I am going out to the caves for sure!!! (That and the Blue Mosque, the other thing we didn't hit that I really regret missing!!!)
