A wedding boat cruise

So one of the things that I love about Chicago is that people have the ability to do special events on boats. Amazing really. I love the water so any chance I can get, I try to be on the water. So when my friend told me I could be his plus one to his coworkers wedding, which happened to be on a boat, I jumped at the occasion. The cruise boarded at 7:00, which actually turned out to be 7:45, but who is counting. We were on a smaller yacht, which was way more personal and exciting than those huge boats that leave from Navy Pier (which I've been on...and they ARE fun...but its just totally a different vibe). Anyways, it was the perfect day into the perfect night. Not hot, not muggy, not cold and not windy--four things that rarely happen on a summer night in Chicago! By the time we pushed off from the dock the sun had started to set.
Oh and I forgot the best part! Navy Pier does a free fireworks show every Weds and Saturday nights. It is actually a really cool show. If you are actually on Navy Pier you can hear the soundtrack that goes along with the fireworks. I used to work on Navy Pier at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater - which I also am posting pictures of - so I would often stay to watch the fireworks and hear the music. It can get kind of crowded but its something that is fun and cheap. Anyways, this boat got so close to the fireworks...so of course I took pictures! Some actually turned out, which I thought was neat. Some remind me of like, those fish that glow in the dark at the bottom of the ocean. :)
