So I'm just going to throw this out there...I love flowers. I adore flowers. But more than just the flowers I obsess over taking PICTURES of flowers. So the Chicago Botanical Gardens really is the place for me. We spent about three hours looking at all the different gardens and flower varieties. There are so many interesting things to look at!! We saw pine trees, a waterfall garden, a Japanese garden, an English walled garden (which looked SO much like the Secret Garden...I wanted to stay there forever!), a water garden, a bulb garden, etc etc. We even saw the Railroad garden, which had a bunch of different model railroad train tracks carved into different types of trees. They made different cityscapes or landmarks with flowers, trees and model buildings/people.
It was definitely worth the $5 extra dollars it cost to get in there. The Botanical Gardens are 'free' but you have to pay $15 to park there. I recommend heading there as soon as you can. Its my new goal to go there every season - especially in the winter. I'd love to see everything covered in snow. Its neat because there is always something new blooming or in season. They even have a sensory garden...which was my favorite part.
Anyways, here are all my pictures. Like I said, the only thing I like more than flowers is taking pictures of flowers...and bugs and leaves. So there are QUITE a few to look at. :) I don't have a great editing eye so if I took the picture, it went up on this site. Enjoy!
