The horror stories of Oradour and Pays Cathare.

Najac

Next goal was Najac, a village hanging on a hill above the river Aveyron and strategicly situated on a meander. In fact Najac is almost a river circled town only it takes good lungs to walk from the river up the the centre...

I was curious about the location, where we spent the 1980 summer holidays. As time stood still, not much had changed. Le Faubourg, the town square of Najac, still had those beautiful old houses and the ruined castle still dominated the surroundings with the Saint Jean church on its feet. Only the name of the holiday village nearby had lost its name "Centre the vacances Prexotel".... The bungalows were exactly the same and the view from the swimming pool to the village remained magnificent!
