Final Destination: Sonya's Garden

One thing that redeemed Manong Driver is the fact that he knows his way around. For instance, when we asked to be taken to Sonya's Garden (which I prefer calling Secret Garden because of how secluded its location is), he knew where to go! Thank goodness we didn't have to ask for directions from people that we passed by. So, we went inside the garden/park/resort and spa/jungle minus the wild animals, took yet more pics, then checked out their overnight villas. For those who want more info, here's a link to their site:

After Sonya's, we went home and got to Makati just in time for the 8-hour agreement we had with the car rental, or else we would've paid 100 more per additional hour. We even had time to stop by Mamplasan for their famous factory outlet of branded goods. I wasn't able to buy any stuff though, I didn't think the items were cheap enough. Maybe because I expected too much (like, 90% off on all items hehehe). Needless to say, we went home happy and re-energized for another week of work work work. I miss Tagaytay; funny how close it is to Manila, yet I couldn't find the time to go back. One of these days...
Next: Leslie's Restaurant

how cute! i mean the view...
After Taal Vista, we went to Leslie's Restaurant along Aguinaldo Highway and ate a sumptuous lunch. Leslie's has the best bulalo in town! We also ordered sisig, tilapia, chopsuey, sinigang na baboy, pork chops, and other stuff that I can't remember anymore. In short, we ate like there's no tomorrow. Did I say we're pigs in man's clothing? :D
Funny though, our driver (can't remember his name) ordered his own food and didn't share it with us, which annoyed me that time since I'm the one paying and I'm not sure if I had enough credit left in my card hehehe. But then I just said to myself, "Hey, it's your birthday, so no need to fuss about it". So I calmed down, went sightseeing again with my friends, took more pictures (unbelievable) and bitched about our driver, but only for fun hehehe. By the way, Leslie's also has a commanding view of Taal Lake and Volcano, so it was a very nice experience all in all.
First Stop: Taal Vista Hotel

my house for the day
For my birthday, I invited some friends from work to go to Tagaytay for some sightseeing. I called Avalon Rentals in Makati and asked for a van that could fit 10 people, and was able to get one for P2,000 (8 hours).
My friends and I met up at the office in Makati at around 9AM and left shortly after. Traffic was ok, and in less than an hour, we were already close to Tagaytay. At around 10:30AM, we arrived in the city and went straight to our first stop - Taal Vista Hotel.
Nope, we didn't check in, We went there only because they have a nice viewing deck at the back. The weather was just perfect!!! Translation: no mist over Taal Lake. So we went in, paid the parking fee (P200/1 hour), enjoyed the view, and took a few pictures. And who am I kidding? We took TONS of pics like there's no tomorrow! Long live camwhores yeah!!!
