Bognes voor de overtocht naar Lødingen // Ferry from Bognes to Lødingen

Daar we vandaag een lange etappe voor de boeg hadden en ook gebruik moesten maken van veerverbindingen leek het ons zinvol om vroeg te ontbijten. Dit hield in dat we al vóór acht uur op weg waren richting de Lofoten. In Fauske werd de tank nog even volgegooid (het tankstation van Rognan was zo vroeg op de zaterdagochtend nog niet open) zodat we daar in principe de rest van de dag geen omkijken naar zouden hebben.
Na zo’n 70 km maakten we een fotostop bij Leirfjord en verder ging het weer.
Pal voor Bognes hadden we nog een fotostop want je had hier een heel goed zicht op de Lofoten.
We had a long disctance to travel today and we needed to cross rivers with ferries so we thought it would be wise to get up early and get on our way as quickly as possible. This meant we were already in the car before eight o’clock. In Fauske we filled the tank (we thought the gasstation in Rognan wouldn’t be open on a Saturday this early) so we wouldn’t have to worry about that for the rest of the day.
After some 70 kilometers we stopped near Leirfjord to make a few photos.
Right before we reached Bognes we stopped for another few photos. From this point you could see the Lofoten Islands already and that was a beautiful scene. We reached Bognes around 10.50 am and around that time the ferry to Lødingen was just leaving. That’s the reason why we got up early so these kind of delays wouldn’t get us in too many problems. It also started to rain so by the time we could drive onto the ferry the deck was rather wet.
