Charlieu - Cluny
Day 9:
Charlieu –
Around 80 kms
Day after day we felt that the mountains became flatter and flatter. We didn’t care about this. This day we rode km after km on very flat roads, it was a strange sensation after days in the mountains.
Halfway the route we entered a little village with a big lake in the middle of it.
The wind wasn’t very strong today, so the water was completely calm. Near this lake I took a picture of two old men who were fishing. I took this picture with backlight, so you see the two men in black and the lake in the background. A beautiful one, if I may say so about my own photos.
15 kms before we entered
These two short climbs were the only two mountains we walked uphill, they were too tough to cycle. Our bike reared up, it was too dangerous.
On the top a big disappointment was waiting for us, the church wasn’t worth to visit in our eyes. It was a normal one; the church in Uden is more beautiful.
At half past one we arrived at the camping site, but the reception was closed. We waited till it opened, what else could we do. Many other people were waiting and we talked to some Dutch people. Before we knew it, we were talking in front of a group. Most of the people were from the
