Departure from Miami
Well I arrived into Miami the night before the cruise, drove all the way from Tampa, Florida. I hate being in car for longer than an hour so the four hours were pretty grueling for me. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and the Miami International Airport, very nice hotel and free breakfast. The morning of the 30th my partner and I got up bright and early and headed to the port, returning the car was a nightmare as was the shuttle from the car place to the port. Check-In was very quick at the port and before you knew it, I was on the Lido deck. I was taken back by how big the ship was, and the friendly faces that greeted me once onboard the ship. Not to mention lunch was already waiting for us, so of course I sat down for a quick bite to eat. Then it was off to explore the ship, it was just amazing to me how this ship has theaters, restaurants, casinos, clubs and stores. That night we left about 5 hours late because they were still loading supplies on the ship for the journey because our itinerary was changed, and we would have to direct sea days instead of one. That night we saw the welcome aboard show, and then I went dancing in the club we called it a night about 3am.
