Went downtown with a friend to wander aimlessly and then to see an IMAX show! We saw "Sea Monsters 3D", and it was amazing! The computer animations were fantastic, and you get to wear those cool 3D glasses! It doesn't get any better! This 40 minute show was a production of National Geographic, and it took place in the Late Cretaceous period. Here is the description of the show:
"Stunning photo-realistic computer-generated animation transports audiences back to the Late Cretaceous, when a great inland sea divided North America in two. The film follows a curious and adventurous dolichorhynchops – familiarly known as a ‘dolly’ –as she travels through the most dangerous oceans in history. Along the way, she encounters long-necked plesiosaurs, giant turtles, enormous fish, fierce sharks, and the most dangerous sea monster of all, the mosasaur."
The above paragraph was taken from www.imax.com/vancouver. Check it out if you plan to visit Vancouver! Seeing an IMAX film is definitely worth it! When I was here in 2000, my parents took me to see "Fantasia 2000", and I had wanted to see another IMAX film ever since. The only other time I saw one was in 2006 when I saw "Deep Sea" in Townsville, Australia. All three were absolutely stunning.
