The big easy is the most cultural experience in the U.S. and my favorite place. After a rough personal year, I decided to visit again and bring friends and family with me. Let the Good Times Roll!

But sir, I've never been on a balcony before! Aromatheropy in New Orleans

We sure did wake up late this morning. Man, yesterday was a long day, and a real long night. We get up, get ready and head out.

Janene and I have the typical "jazz brunch" at The Court of Two Sisters. It was super relaxing and it was nice to start brunch early and be some of the only people there. The food was great and it was nice to kick back and listen to the band.

We had booked massages at Duke Williams on Magazine street, so we cabbed it down there quite early to do some shopping. I bought some Absinthe for a friend (Enjoy that, Porter?) and checked out some great jewelry and antiques. We bought cute dresses at this sick boutique filled with 1940's reproductions that are really great!

The highlight of the day was definitly our aromatheropy massage at Duke Morgan's.

The famous balcony
(3607 Magazine street) This was easily the most relaxing massage I have ever had. After personally consulting with me about what I want, what types of scents I like, and what my plans were for the rest of the day, I was pampered for an hour and a half. If you want to relax, and happen to be in the city, I cannot recommend this place enough!

We set out back to the Quarter and met up with the whole family for a GREAT dinner at Arnouds. It had been several years since I had been here. We had escargot, souffle potatoes, bananas fosters (yummy, yum, yum!) and a lot of stake. I mean, this girl likes her meat, but all the food was seriously adding up!

There was a little quartet that wandered around the restaurant playing tunes at the tables and our waitstaff was so nice that they offered to take us on a tour of the restaurant.

Huge ass beers-You know you want one!
The property is huge! It has all of these ballrooms above the actual restaurant for all the crewes durring Mardi Gras to celebrate. There is also a famous balcony just outside this property that we really wanted to check out and take some fun pictures over Bourbon Street, but the door was locked! Now, if you read Janene17's blog, she won't mention this, but when the waitstaff said, "sorry girls, the balcony is off limits" she actually said, "but sir, I've never been on a balcony before!" As ludicrious as that statement was, it actually worked! I guess that's what happens when your cute and bat your eyes!

Anyways, we took some fun pic's on the balcony and headed out to Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop on the other end of the French Quarter. We bought a "Huge Ass Beer" on the way (its a totally good value if you like to drink) and took some very memorable pictures.
