39 months, Europe, Asia the Middle East and Africa. Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Pandas, Elephants, Bears, Komodo Dragons, Turtles, Tigers, Bulls. Pyramids, Petra, Ephesus, Kremlin, Great Wall, Angkor, Bagan, Persepolis, Trans Siberian railway and fantastic travbuddys! Stolen bags, crowbar threats, 1 landmine explosion, bank robbery, 2 motorbike crashes, 2 bus crashes, pancreatis, erosion of the liver and kidneys, BUT im still here and telling my tale! Stuck in a parade!

Parade goes through Sukawati

Our journey from Pura Besakih to Kuta had a surrisingly nice twist to it, as we encountered trouble with the traffic, whilst entering the town of Sukawati. The reason that traffic had grounded to a halt was to allow a parade to pass through the main thoroughfare of the town. There must have been several hundred women of ages ranging from 4 to 50 all dressed in traditional outfits and it really was beautiful.

The parade went on for several hundred metres and was followed by many of the locals and we remained to watch all the people walking past us, before it was back on the bike and heading to Kuta, where we arrived just as the sun was setting - perfect timing!
