Gdansk and Malbork Castle

Malbork Castle

People i met here who contributed to, and improved my trip: Andy and Matt (England)

After saying my goodbyes i popped down the coast to Gdansk, where other than wandering the town, i also took a trip out to Malbork Castle, the largest brick castle in the World. It was built by the Teutonic Knights in the 1300's but had been raised to the ground and rebuilt at several points in its History.

The World Cup Final was also played whilst i was here and Italy beat France on penalties, although my interest had vanished after Englands acrimonious exit! Had a decent night out back in Sopot with Andy and Matt a couple of English guys, 2 Norweigan guys and 3 German girls. It all ended a bit sour though, as one of the Germans girls whose birthday it was wanted to go and spray paint (tag) a wall, which kind of annoyed me. Thankfully the sun came up before she got the chance!
