People i met here, who contributed to and improved my trip: Juliana (Russia)

We arrived back into Lijiang on Christmas Eve and spent the night walking through the streets of the old town, before frequenting one of the busier drinking establishments for a quick bottle of Tsingtao. We decided to grab an early night, in preparation of Santa Claus arrival.

We slept in on Christmas morning, still recovering from the rigors of the Tiger Leaping Gorge Trek. We awoke to find Santa had brought a few necessary gifts, such as a new pair of jeans for me! After opening our pressies we decided to treat ourselves to a wonderful lunch… of spam sandwiches. Mmmmmmm!

We wondered up into the old town and casually strolled the streets for several hours, buying a few little bits and pieces before heading for dinner at the Prague café. It was a tasty meal including chicken, potatoes and pork, although none cooked in traditional Christmas fashion. We spent the rest of the night tipping back a couple of beers and playing cards in the warmth and hospitality of the café. We eventually called it a night around 1.00am.
