Budapest
People i met here who contributed to, and improved my trip: Chris (Denmark), Elizabeth (America)
Id always wanted to visit Budapest but had to miss out on my last trip, due to a lack of time. It was certainly worth the wait! I met up with Danish Chris, who i hung out with in Vienna and met an American called Elizabeth in the hostel and together we sampled the local nightlife! The highlights were Champs sports bar for the World Cup games and an outdoor disco called Zold Pardon, located on the Danube, for some late night partying. The nights were long which made some of the days short! But time is on my side this trip so in total i spent 6 days exploring the city and surrounding areas.
Highlights of Budapest for me included the Parliament, Chain Bridge, Castle Hill and certainly the underground Labyrinths which had been inhabited by early cave men! A great day trip form Budapest is the nearby Esztergom, which was the first Royal Court of Hungary and also the largest basilica in the country. My time here however, was been ruined by my ever worsening blisters, so i decided it was time to leave the city and head for the lakes.
