And now my computer has just deleted 100 photos off my SD card - ooooh i want to cry.... :((((((

these things can happen even if there is no virus. your system is Linux not windows so it's not likely to have a virus. More likely it's just a software bug (which means it's a mistake in the programming, not malicious like a virus).

I put my memory card into the reader, opened the travbuddy photo load page and the screen was scrambled. I tried to reload it and nothing appeared. I took the card out of the reader and put it back in my camera and over 100 photos were scrambled. I used another computer to try and 'restore' the photos with a special programme and i think i got about 50 back. Whilst my computer keeps saying there is no virus on it, i dont understand why this would happen if there wasnt one?
