Cabo da Roca

I had an international engineering committee meeting to go to in Lisbon, so I got to see the local area with some coworkers and committee members from around the world.

Cabo da Roca

After leaving the Colares Winery, we headed to the western coast of Portugal.  We then stopped at Cabo da Roca, the western most point of mainland Europe.  This coastal area is made up of sheer cliffs.  In this location, the Atlantic Ocean is a beautiful deep blue mixed with bright whitecaps that break against huge rocks.  Cabo da Roca also has a small, red lighthouse.
