SNOW ON MT. CHARLESTON ON THE 95 NORTH AND WILL :)
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK it was 5:45am when my alarm rang. will(w_clemmons) was gonna be picking me up at 6am. i know he is gonna be on time. i think i was crazy when i said 6am. especially, i only had 3hrs of sleep :P i was up hanging out with friends, knowing i had to get up.

i was rushing to get ready. i was dressed in layers. i know it's gonna be warm there. i want to be ready for any weather. i checked the weather. 60-70 degrees in the afternoon. that is normal around this time. death valley is low desert. it gets hot about 80-90 in may. that is why the best time to go is feb-march-april.

i would have not though to drive north on 15 then north on 95 to death valley. then again, i did not look the map on where to see the "points of interests".
COPPER MINES

i wanted to pass out in will's car, but, i end up watching "lord of the rings" on his IPOD. will and i just blab all the way to beatty. there was some things he was pointing out that i did not know that was there......

an hour from vegas there is "big dune" a place where you can go dirt biking, ATV-ing, whomping, or hummer-ing HAHAHAHA on the sand dunes. i will make a point to go there and rent ATVs. we saw copper mines off the 95.

the drive from vegas to beatty took about 3hrs. will was telling me that everytime he is in the area. he had to have this sandwich at this gas station. i looked at him like he grew an extra head HAHAHAHAHA. i was very doubtful about that. also it is important to top off your gas while you are there. there will be no gas stations for 33 miles.
BEATTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

as soon as we got there. beatty looked like the wild west HAHAHAHA. it is your typical small town with bank, market, gas, local goodies, and the biggest, cleanest, and brightest MOTEL 6 i have ever seen. we topped off gas at the "rebel" got sandwiches from "smash hit subs" inside the "rebel" gas station. (SCROLL DOWN FOR REVIEW).

there is an INFO center for death valley. it is $20 each car for 7 day pass, map, and 411 newsletter about the park. we asked the ranger about "the race track" and sand dunes. we were bummed to find out that you needed a 4x4 with big clearance to drive there is see it. that was the whole point of the trip. well, we made the best of it. we aimed for badwater, devil's golf course, salt creek, natural bridge, and of course the wild flowers.

OFF WE GO TO DEATH VALLEY..............
