why do they do skydives from somewhere with 'fail' in the name?
October 31, 2008
For Simon's 30th birthday pressie from me, he got a skydive!! Desperate to have another go at this fantastic adrenaline rush since we did our first jump in New Zealand a year ago, it seemed the perfect 30th birthday gift!
We got up early as we had to be at the office in town by 8am. We tricked Simon into thinking we were going off somewhere else hence the early start. He opened his pressie, a sky dive leaflet disguised by being wrapped in a t-shirt. He said oooh when are we doing this, and I said in about half an hour! So off we went and I watched with the in-laws as the little plane took off into the sky, wishing I could afford to be on there with him!
We wathced as the little speck in the sky became a more visible parachute and at last, Simon came into landing and looked very happy, beaming for the rest of the day!
A super start to a 30th birthday!!
