So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

So, why are we here again?

After a long bus ride from Bu-crap-amaranga and not arriving here until 7pm we had to face the fact that we were going to have to stop the night in Cucuta. Its a shithole. So we just went to bed, got up early and headed for the border.

i took that route as well years ago, most of what i recall is perilous clffs when I looked out the window :/
cucuta was an ok place to change currency, other than that it was a shithole as well.
