Today we changed hotels and went to the Buena Vista Villas. Here we will spend the next 3 nights and get married on the private beach of the complex.
As we arrived, we knew we were in for an amazing stay. It took the cab about 5 minutes to drive from the entrance to the villas themselves as the complex is huge and surrounded in jungle. We checked in (a porter bloke took our bags up the steep hill to our room and everything!) and we walked into our villa. Well flippin heck!! we felt like millionaires on holiday! This place was amazing!! We had an open-plan kitchen and living area with full length windows all around looking out into the jungle. The shower was huge with 2 shower heads, one head was one of those that hangs from the ceiling (as opposed to the coming out of the wall obviously) and is bigger than a dinner plate. The bed was 6ft wide and like sinking into a marshmellow. And the balcony was the best bit. The doors opened from the bedroom and the living room and had the most amazing views over the jungle and the sea. All slightly different from our usual $10 a night hostel room with shared bathroom and foam mattress. They even supplied the towels. We really were in paradise. As we jumped around for joy, my next move was to test out our hammock that was suspended across one corner of the balcony, and took in the views. As I lied there, monkeys played in the trees that rested against our villa.
Later that afternoon, Simon and I went to meet Leo and Luba (brother and sister-in-law) at Crapos airport (a field basically) and took them back to the Buena Vista.
That evening, Simon went out for dinner with his family and I went out with mine, our last night as single people!!!!! We opened a bottle of Baileys when we got back to our villa to try and blend in with the rich people that had stayed there before us!!! And to help us sleep ahead of our big day!
