the outback pub

Took a detour to Daly Waters, a tiny little outback town with the dusty dirt roads that one might imagine from an outback town. We stopped at the famous Daly Waters pub for a quick drink and looked around the ramshackle pub made from corrugated iron at all the memorabilia tacked to every piece of wall space. Flags, t-shirts, flip flops, beer mats, even bras, knickers and socks covered the walls, all scribbled on by whoever left them. Daly Waters was incredibly hot, the heat was stiffling, and didn't really get any cooler in the tin hut of a pub.

Don't fill up with fuel here, fill up at the station just on the Highway near the Daly Waters turnoff. The fuel is about 30c a litre cheaper on the highway.
