Placencia has a fantastic vibe, a gorgeous beach and loads of activities (if you arrive with more cash than we did).
The bus from Hopkins takes you through town and drops you where you want. We stayed at Julia's Guesthouse which was quiet, calm and right on the sea front.
The beach is white sand and really flat sea, although there is a lot of seagrass to tangle your toes up in!
The bars and restaurants are spread along the metre-wide footpath which skirts the beach as far as the pier.
It's a great place relax and eat fantastic shrimps!
Hammock. Swim. Read. Repeat.
