Had a drive through the beautiful Litchield National Park stopping off at the main sites for a look, some pics and even got a swim at the croc-free Buley Falls, a set of rock pools with little cascades, linking up to the Florence Falls, another beauty of a spot.
The very popular Wangi Falls was full of people and there were even people swimming in it despite the croc possibility warning signs. We had a walk around the pools of the falls and looked up into the trees to see masses of bats hanging about.
Took the walk along to the spectacular Tolmer Falls, the lookout looks down onto the falls and river, surrounded by rainforest as far as the eye can see.
Stopped for a look at Florence Falls and took the Creek walk along the river, through the wonderfully shaded forest. The pth eventually brought us out at the bottom of the Falls, and then the climb back to the car park at the top.
Last stop was the close-by Buley Rockholes, a series of rockpools that we took a dip in and sat on the smooth rock surface while the cooling water splashed up our backs.
