One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand. Then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we are set to stay in Australia for one year to work and travel!

So we planned to go to Hopkins but decided to get off the bus at Dangriga instead. 3 boys from London also stopped at Dangriga and joined us in the cab to a great little hostal called Bluefields. The bus ride there was hilarious as we sat at the back with a group of rather large Caribbean women who were very jovial, joking about everything and all had very booming, loud laughs. The language and the way they talked is just so funny and we laughed along with them!!

We went to a bar for a few beers with the boys from london and one of them was like a character from a Guy Ritchie film, very entertaining! We ended up hiring a boat for the next day to take the 5 of us out to the reef to  little island called Tobacco Caye.

Dangriga is an OK little seaside town full of the colourful Garifuna folk and culture. They speak English but you can`t actually understand it as it like a very fast talking Caribbean English with the accent making it impossible to understand most of the time.
