We were picked up from La Sabana and were driven the 4 hours to Manuel Antonio in our comfy private bus (travelling with the folks from England now remember). We had a pleasant surprise as the hotel that we booked the 2 sets of `older folk` into had actually upgraded them into a 2-bedroom apartment each, occupying a whole floor of a seprate building with use of a private pool! The cheap hostel that Simon and I, Jess and Mitch were booked into soon appeared crap in comparison, and no sooner had we been invited to join the elders in their 2-bed apartments, we had grabbed our luggage and legged it to the very luxurious accommodation at Mimo`s hotel.
We spent the next 4 nights with the 8 of us sharing the floor, our own pool and the wonderful hotel. We had some lovely meals out, most memorable was eating at El Avion, a restaurant build behind an actual aeroplane !! Fab food, drinks and views. We introduced the gang to a great card game, taught to us by our great Aussie friends, Annalese and Damo (thanks, everyone loves it!!) and we all sat around the big wooden table that was conveniently located at our casa next to `our` private pool. Happy days!!!!
