Why oh why

Feeling tired after an overnight bus ride from Mandalay, we decided to give the heat of the day a miss by catching a midday showing at a cinema in town. We were then planning to go to the pogoda and lake after the cinema when the temperature had cooled a little. So there we were sitting in the cinema enjoying a film. Little did we know that someone was actually lying on the floor protected by the dark, going into our bag which was right next to me on the seat. Our wallet was stolen along with our camera. OK so we can handle losing a little money, cancelling credit cards and even losing the camera. But we lost our photos. We have lost every single one of our Myanmar photos as well as some from Vietnam, about 500 pics of happy snapping. We are gutted and upset beyond words. We have always been so careful with our things and this is probably the first time I have been to the cinema without putting the bag on my lap. A little careless on our last day in Myanmar has cost us so very dearly.
