So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

Puffing Billy

Went out to country Victoria today to the Dandenongs to breathe some country air. We ended up taking the tourist option and climbed aboard Puffing Billy, a very popular and touristy steam train that chuggs its way from Belgrave to Emerald and beyond. Expensive at $33 each but we had a very handy buy one get one free!!

Enjoyed the beautiful countryside and Billy made the way to Emerald and stayed on until we got to the lake. From here we had a wonder around and then walked back to Emerald along a lovely little pathway through the woods and then alongside the train track. Had yum fish and chips in Emerald before catching Billy back to Belgrave and then our train back to Melbourne.
