The Petronas Towers and a posh hotel

We flew back to KL and managed to hit rush hour once we got to Sentral from the airport (via the Skybus). We eventually got to our hotel, the Citrus, a 4 star jobby that we booked as a cheap deal on one of the lat minute hotel sites online. For the same price as we paid for the hostel we stayed in last time we were here, we got a posh hotel complete with mega buffet brekkie, gym and pool, a fab view of the Petronas Towers, access to the 'Club Lounge' with free tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks, and internet all day, and most importantly we got slippers and bath robes in the room!!
We got up early to walk to the Petronas Towers in time to get one of the free limited daily tickets. We got a bit lost and ended up walking down the workman's path alongside the highway that skirts through the city (!) but eventually made it to the towers and with relief, there was only a short queue.
Back at the Towers for our allocated visit, we first of all watched a short video about the history of the towers and of Petronas, then we crammed into the lift and shot up to the 43rd floor. From here we wandered along the walkway between the 2 towers looking out at the view across the city. The view being of a cement city was OK but the Towers themselves are very impressive.
The afternoon was spent wandering around the huge mall in the Towers complex, wishing that we had lots of money to spend on clothes, and then back to the hotel. We found a great indian restaurant next door to the hotel and tucked into delicious and cheap Indian grub.
So this is Goodbye to Malaysia!!
