So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

Parasitic poohing

Back to Xela after the trek via a very long bus journey. We were going to go for a celebratory curry but started to feel dodgy. This dodgy feeling turned into a night of toilet dashing for both of us. Lovely. Turns out that our guides from the trek also had the same problem because we all got food poisoning / a parasite from the farewell lunch in San Pedro after the trek.

That`s nice then. So antibiotics for dinner. I would have preferred a curry.
