So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

At last! The Andes are in sight! El Calafate is a very touristy town but has great views of snow-capped mountains and a Flamingo-inhabited lake with icebergs on it.

We found a little campsite for 2 quid a night and set up tent. Realising that there is little to do here except see the Glacier, we booked the bus for tomorrow (Thursday) to the Glacier and also our bus out of El Calafate. A nice little town but touristy and expensive with it so just the one night.
