Miserable failures

So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

Miserable failures

After being inspired to new heights chatting to a Canadian who has just climbed Mount Fitz Roy we head back to town for hot chocolate.

We unzipped the tent to a white campsite (Simon was not impressed when I tried to clamber out of the tent and knocked a load of snow into his sleeping bag) (while he was in it). The snow was beautiful though, with everything like a winter wonderland, trees and mountains covered in white. The Cerro Torre (the moutain peak that we trekked there to see) was still engulfed in the clouds (hummm it doesn't bloody exist) and we were cold, exhausted and amazed that we had survived the night. As we couldn't see anything of the views, we couldn't feel our feet and because our sleeping bags are about 15 degrees out of the temperature zone of this part of the world, we decided to head back to town defeated and trek the park by day trips.

Photos of snowy stuff to follow very soon!!
