Culture vultures continued

So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

Culture vultures continued

After getting back to San Sal, we headed off in search of the Military History Museum. Lots of armed guards on the gate met us and we thought we had the wrong place.

Wondered about looking at lots of guns, rocket launchers, cannons and other grisly killing instruments used in the war here. There was also a huge memorial wall and helicopters and stuff.

The best bit was a massive 3D map of El Salvador showing all its volcanoes, lakes, cities and coast line.

Our culture vulture bit over for the day, we got a cab back to our hotel and saw some rather horrible sights of the poorer areas of the city. ´Grime` springs to mind.
